Electropositive Metal (EPM) alloys represent the latest in shark repellent technology. These nonmagnetic metal alloys have been researched by top US marine fisheries scientists (Stoner 2008, Stoner and Kaimmer 2008, Brill et al 2008, Wang et al 2008) and produced peer-reviewed publications. The EPM alloys show an ability to reduce shark catch by generating a voltage in seawater. These metals will corrode and will require replacement. You can prolong their use by storing the metals under mineral oil or silicone oil when not in use. These metals may be useful for reducing requiem shark, skate, and ray catch.

Only RepelSharks.com has been granted the exclusive license to sell these alloys for shark repellent use! This is a custom metal alloy, designed for hardness, repellency, and lowest corrosion rate. Note: Atlantic spiny dogfish (S. acanthias) and dusky smoothhounds (M. canis) may not respond reliably to these metals. Our magnetic products are suggested specifically for these species.
